Iron Planters and Pots

We like iron garden planters, as shown on the photographs below. The items are made to order, rather than stocked, because the market for steel planters is not as large as we expect it to become,  Please contact us if you would like to buy a steel planter or other iron-based garden product - and please contact us if you make iron and steel plant containers.

We particularly like plant containers made of Stainless Steel and Weathering Steel (also called Corten Steel). The use of steel to make planters is fairly recent. Their good qualities are:

• Steel is strong, light, waterproof and frost proof.
• Weathering Steel (Corten) has a beautiful reddish-brown rusty colour which is a most beautiful foil to the shapes and colours of flowers and leaves - as the photographs show.
• Stainless steel is brilliant reflective and therefore very well suitted to creating a focal point in a garden. We particularly recommend it for water features, sundials and ornaments
