Antique

Antique garden water fountains are most likely to be replicas, which is a good thing. Unless the antique fountain is made of bronze it is likely to be damaged by continuous use through the centuries. Antique garden fountains are made in bronze, iron, marble, granite and other materials. They have a natural place in old gardens with other antique vases and ornaments.

    Reproduction antique garden ornaments

Reproductions of 'antique garden ornaments' including fountains, statues, urns and lights. Most of the items look as though they were copied from fanciful imitations of historic items rather than from genuine antique garden features. In other words, they look more like 'ornaments' they copies of original works of garden art. But one should not be sniffy. They are in the same league as the items sold at tourist sites around the world, including pilgrimage centres. One could in fact view this yard as a cult centre for the pagan religion, celebrating the polytheistic gods of springs, woods and hills.
